Good morning everyone! It's a lovely, bright Saturday morning here for the golden dergaroo. 8:35am as I write this, before I head off for my day job. I wanted to state publicly that I have an ambition.

Last night family events occurred. It's a mixed bag of good news and terrible potential outcomes. I realize for me it's time to treat writing as a job. Not just a "if I feel good" thing, or a "it'll be better tomorrow" sweetened statement. My current job cannot sustain my future - it is a high school, part time, grunt work job. It is a lovely job I won't deny that! But soon I'll need something better to support myself and my family.

I am giving myself six months. From this post on and for the next six months, I am going to turn writing into my job. By the end, I want to be a freelance writer making part-time income at least. I choose to make my passion into a career, and to do this in six months, because if I don't I may never get the chance at all.

There are no classes for this. I'll have to learn as I go. But I am eager, I will be ready, and I will do it. This is my open letter promise to you all. I love you all. I will be proud to write for you all.
