Health Update

The last few years I've had some issues with numb feet and finger tips. The past month I'd been really feeling the effects of heat and humdity -AZ Monsoon season has been a good one but it was kicking my tail. Went to the medical clinic last Saturday and they found I had high blood sugar - Monday and Thursday this week were busy with more blood work and a visit to a new Doctor. I'm on Metformin now and doing another diet change - so I have to watch the carbs/sugars while on a Gluten Free diet - so much for all the rice based stuff I'd been eating. Day 2 of being on the pills and the feet and fingers are feeling better and I don't feel so damn exhausted all the time.
I know the heat and humidity here can detract attention from other problems

I have a condition they used to call 'Metabolic Syndrome X', but since it's a little better understood today, they dropped the unknown quantity. I have high bad cholesterol with low good cholesterol and high blood pressure. It all goes together.
Any idea what your A1C is?
I started on the same dose of Metformin but they boosted me to 1000 after three months, then 1000 twice a day at the end of a year, and that's what I've been taking for 6 or 7 years. Morning sugar has been 130 - 145 lately; I've got to stop eating junk between meals.
