No Holds for a While!

Hi everyone,
Sorry, but I am not allowing holds for a while. I'll make some exceptions for 24 hour holds, but I can't do anything more than that atm. The reason for this is because I have just moved and haven't been able to work for a while, so my situation is a little dire. I have a small commission queue to catch up on as well. Adopts are a fun way for me to support myself as a self employed creator, and lately offering holds have done a little more harm than good. People keep asking for holds and then I have to hound them repeatedly for payment, and I don't like doing that. But I have to make a living. I'm sorry if this is a huge inconvenience, I would like to open holds again, but I really can't afford to -maybe- make a living off of my work and base whether or not I'll be able to eat off of whether or not someone will decide to pay for the design when they say they will. It's just too stressful for me. I know sometimes people don't have the money immediately and really want the characters. I've been in that position lol, but at this moment it's just very risky for me to do when I have so many medical bills and my student loan providers are calling me 6 times a day wanting money. Sorry if that's too personal, I just wanted to share the reality of how it effects me, because I'm too worried people will be mad at me x(
Another thing is I want to try doing more original art adopts and bases. Adopts made with my own art may be a bit more expensive than my base adopts. I try to keep things cheap but I put so much work into my designs. I also want to make bases, which I think could be really fun, and to help others make their own designs. I may take a little break from adopt making to offer more YCHs and stuff, because I miss making art haha. I'll probably post most of this on my main account spacewusky so if you'd like to keep up with that, consider following me there too ♥ I'll post ads and reminders here to let people know too.
Last thing, I changed my toyhouse to KiraKiradopts for my base adopts and made a new account for my original characters and art: Spacewusky so if you get credit requests, they should come from KiraKiradopts on toyhouse.

All of that being said, it is absolutely important to acknowledge that the artist is fully allowed and right to reject reservations, no matter what the reasoning is for any of it. It may be nice for us customers, but we are never obligated to make an artist gamble on us being able to pay. I also know situations like this are exactly why I am personally trying to do so less.
So imho, you are absolutely fine, and I hope you get things smoothed out irl as well.
