Everyone thinks a little differently so everyone writes a little differently, but I think anything that gets you past the "hmm, but what will I write?" part to actually putting words on paper part is good. Take any shortcuts you can find, skip parts you're having trouble with to write other parts, use whatever you can to actually get something down. Forward planning is only so useful, the story is inevitably going to twist and writhe as you try to pin it down, so at least getting to the end makes things much easier even if you pretty much have to re-edit or even re-write the entire thing.

Also, depending on your screen setup and your eyes, you should probably adjust your size font up, increase line spacing, and adjust the colors so you aren't straining your eyes when you write. Also, I think some text editors have a function to detect repeated words, so you don't come back to your story later and realize you used the word 'glutted' like twenty times in two paragraphs. Super common words, like 'said' or 'heard' or 'found' are fine to repeat pretty often, though, since brains will pretty much skip right over them. No need to replace them every time unless you want your character to be doing something specific.
