Why I privated my avatars on VRC
Oh boy yeah here we go...
I have not felt I wanted to support VRC for a while.
They don't really care for the community and the EAC update was when I decided to stop making content for VRC, but this is not the main reason I'm making them private.
As for the EAC update I don't care they are adding the things the mods did what they've done is shoddy at best, Their IK sucks, the mirrors sucks and more... So DON'T come with "They are adding it blah blah blah"
Yes I used non malicious mods and still would if possible
They also just added something in their TOS that from my understanding makes them able to earn money of my stuff.
They are going to force Phys bones on people which is a god damn pain to work with (toggle will be removed within a year of that update)
There's one more reason, I feel no support from the users of my avatars which is also causing a loss of interest in making them.
I've spend literally days updating avatars.
I am planning on uploading them publicly to CVR but it'll be slow going because of a lack of motivation.
So to end this:
I'm sorry to those who use my avatars but this decision is final. MAYBE one day they'll go public again can't say though.

Whilst I moved on to creating my own, your Hobkin "Max" (and indeed l should have shown appreciation sooner) has huge sentimental value for me. It was not only my first Hobkin but my first furry anything, after getting into the community in VRchat.
I'm always a bit sad when I come to wear my first furry Avatar again and find it doesn't load so I went to see if there was a new version and saw your note.
If it's available as project files for private-only upload or anything like that please do point me in the direction it'll make me very happy just to wear it sometimes for posterity - but I do respect your decision to remove them and if they're simply, effectively, dead. It's your work to withdraw.
Just know that someone did appreciate your work - to the point it has a LOT of sentimental value. Thank you. As a small creator myself (pony related Hobkins) I know how you feel like no one appreciates your work. And then someone pops out of the blue to tell you they love it and you're thinking "nice of someone to actually tell me" and it feels more worthwhile. It seems (and I've seen my MLP ones around a lot and heard third hand that they're enjoyed) that for every 1000 happy users you might at best get 1 comment of recognition. But heck, I ended up with my almost 1 year boyfriend through mine (turned out he was nervous to reach out, thinking I was in some way famous/busy/important, it's now our cute origin story). So, I hope this, if nothing else, helps you to feel just a little more appreciated <3
I had a few people (honestly not many) tell me they loved my avatars but when I really needed help from people using them not one person stepped up and that was just the last draw. Spending hours on avatars for the people and no help when I needed it just didn't sit right. A lot of sh*t happened close to each other around that time and I just decided to take it all down to remove my stress about it.
