Red Tape: the Sequel

Hello, lovelies.
We are discouraged, to put it simply. It has been a week of fighting, troubleshooting, and head scratching in hopes of getting our website off the ground, only to find (find through research, mind you, nobody actually had the consideration to tell us) that our identification number that allows us to get paid won’t actually be on record with the IRS for two weeks. No payment system will work with us until then. We’re at a standstill.
Even so, I will be posting content here and on Twitter as promised in order to fill the silence and keep from beating my head against a wall. Hell, by the time this nightmare is over we might have two issues of TWIU ready for you instead of one. We’ll just have to see how it all plays out.

Having worked through setting up tax information for an organization before, I feel your pain. I'm sure the tax code is way different, but if it's possible I could help at all, let me know!

Thank you so much! It turns out that the IRS entered our business name wrong on our paperwork, so we're waiting for them to file the corrected papers. If it isn't one thing it's another.

Ugh, not even the basic courtesy of a heads up? >_< I can only imagine how frustrating all this is. I think (Major^3) has a common sentiment: if there's anything any of us can do to help, say the word.
