...that there's no algorithm that will gather information any time I click on something niche or weird out of morbid curiosity and then start making suggestions to me based on those clicks.
Yeah but if a guy draws a horrific rape scene of [popular character] but only throws the name of [popular character] in the tags for quick views and not the rest of the themes, it won't do me any good to block "noncon" from my search of [popular character], that one horrific drawing is gonna come up anyway.
I'm not saying it will be perfect. However there are plenty of "cReAtIoNs" that use the proper tags because they want the attention of those who want that type of stuff. At least then, you won't be able to see them.
On top of that, I think if there is such an artist doing it simply for clickbait, then just have a block function that also shields you from EVER seeing anything from that person again. If that artist is that type of person, then there is no love lost.
Trash will remain on the ground until you put it in the bin. Is there a lot of trash? Yes. Can we start cleaning up? Yes. Will it take a long time? Yes. Is the trash gone at the end tho? YES
Any improvements can always be made later on with user input to make it more efficient. At least that way the browse page will not be tainted by frankly unhygienic artwork.
that's what I mean.

Also any system is better than no system, probably.
