As someone who one day may wish to watch this show, how much ass? And is it like, random excuse for panty shots or just a lot of butts in frame?

That was one thing that really killed Freezing for me. I expected a much more action based anime, but it was too many unnecessary shots of boobs and ass, so much so that I stopped watching and thought they really needed to reinforce their clothes in those areas as they were obviously made with tissue paper.

There's usually one gratuitous ass shot per episode, usually by way of the team lead who sleeps at the office and doesn't wear pants to bed

Eh, that's not nearly as bad then. Freezing was all about gratuitous breast and ass shots, usually with clothes ripping when there really was no point other than being pervy.

I appreciate also that they show a bunch of actual game design stuff. The closing credits every episode include both Unity and Autodesk Maya

That's cool. I am definitely curious to check it out eventually.
