I've given this a lot of thought, and I've decided I'm going to be altering one of the characters in Arturos Academy a little bit. Specifically, I'll be making some changes to the character Noah Langston, aka the Australian kangaroo that considers Ravi his best mate. There are a few reasons for this. The biggest one is, despite the fact I thought I could do it well enough, I don't like the accent I gave him. Trying to maintain the accent I was using was a lot harder than I thought it would be. There's also the fact that, despite my best efforts at understanding Australian slang, it feels a bit too weird for me, and, since I already have trouble trying to pull off the accent, I think I'd sound even more fake trying to use the Australian slang when I barely understand it.

What does this mean exactly? Well, I'm still going to leave him as a kangaroo, but I'll be changing the voice I used for him to something I can do a bit easier. This is also going to mean a few of the previously completed chapters are going to be re-recorded with the new voice, and, in some cases, new dialogue. The ones that will be affected would be Chapter 12: Aural Guidance, Chapter 15: The Guidance of Friendship and Chapter 16: Revealing a Mystery.

I probably could just keep things as they are, and practice the accent/slang more so I could get it down, but, even though I'd be trying my best not to offend any Australians with my poor attempts at it, there would always be the worry in the back of my mind that someone would come across it and get on my case about it. Yes, it's probably really unlikely to happen, but this is just me being paranoid.

So, yeah, I'll be doing another chapter soon, which may or may not include the new voice for Noah. I haven't written the script yet, so I don't know at the moment. But whether or not he's in the next chapter, next month will be partially spent going back to the above mentioned chapters and putting the new voice in. I'll likely make another journal when that's done, so you guys can give the revised chapters another listen.
