So I Just Finished Reading...

Please Kill Me: The Uncensored Oral History of Punk by Legs McNeil and Gillian McCain. After spending around three months finishing this book up, I'm glad to say it was as awesome as it sounds. It also looks like any punk related book should look. Torn up, beat down, and bent all over the fucking place.
But enough about that, What I really enjoy about this book is no doubt the vast amount of people they got interviews with from the punk scene. They even included relevant interviews with the folks who already passed away.
Now the only thing I have to say to everyone out there reading this is simple: Pick this book up before I stab you in the throat. This is a must read for any punk fan and anyone who isn't interested in punk (you know who you are) should still pick it up and see it's not all about high gain, high treble guitars and terrible singers... Well, ok, it still mostly is about that.
But even the most adamant punk hater will find something in this book to love. You will discover bands you probably never heard of, and some that you heard of in passing and completely forgot. Personally speaking, my music collection has already gained a third of it's original size from picking up new artists from this book.
