Adobts are a nice way to practise character design. Just never be attach to any characters you deciee to sell off. Some artist have very loyal, and rich, follows that can allow some adopts to go for far more then they are really worth.
And get used to reposting reminders. Lol
i just immediately get attached as i attempt it. i have this strange feeling of just charging a starting bid so no one even tries to buy it. weird conflict of interest goin on in me. takin the wind out of my sails
I think it depends on your main goal with the adopts:
1. Making them for profit.
2. Design practice.
If you wanna go for goal 1 I recommend staying with general designs that are seen a lot and giving them one or two details which make them unique.
If goal 2 is your main goal then simply go out of your way and design body types and species you have always been wanting to practise or need to practise.
But I am interested to see what kind of designs you would make for adopts.
Oh and as a final tip:
Some artists selling adopts sometimes include extra details if the buyer is willing to pay a higher price (Backview, gender details, accessories, close-ups). But that would depend on what is included in the base design.
