The mediocrity with this one was palpable, and the rest of the page was like "Please bear with me...I'm overcoming a lot of trauma in my life" and I'm over here thinking, is it because you're a tool and nobody likes you? Or are you a tool because nobody likes you?

I find it rather surprising that you're unaware of her, but, good for you, perhaps?

Anyway she was an author who popularized (relatively speaking) the concept of objectivism and while a lot of Libertarian types will give you all kinds of bullshit about what it is and why it's good, at it's core it's basically the philosophy that other people don't matter, only you matter, and only doing things for yourself should be considered just a philanthropic and doing things for other people.

Again, she's basically Jesus for Libertarians. Literally wrote the book on being a sociopath. She went through a lot of early-age trauma, like our friend up top apparently, and unfortunately instead of parlaying that into becoming more compassionate and caring, she used it as an excuse to, low key, be a monster.

If anybody ever quotes Ayn Rand at you, and it's not being done ironically, immediately stop talking to that individual because there's almost definitely something horrifically wrong with them on an emotional and perhaps spiritual level.

Well, I was unaware of this objectivism as well, and I can't say I'm sure when exactly someone is a Libertarian.

Maybe I'd have to be an American for all this.
