Moving from Patreon to Subscribestar because Ew.

The full explanation can be found here > https://www.patreon.com/posts/71931543 but TLDR; Substantial and believable evidence has been levied against Patreon that shows them as supporting/actively telling their staff not take action without legal orders against accounts which essentially sell softcore porn to pedophiles.
UPDATE: Patreon have denied the allegations (see https://blog.patreon.com/false-alle.....n-social-media), though the concerns raised are still valid. Not really sure what good reason there could be for instagram accounts full of pics of kids in swimsuits to have a Patreon following of any kind, let alone one apparently comprised largely of older men. I will continue to update as time goes on, but as Subscribestar is pretty inarguably better for adult content creators *anyway*, I'll probably stick with that move regardless.

Apologies for any inconvenience, but I've also paused all payments on Patreon for this month (and, assuming the allegations aren't proven to be categorically false, deleting the account before the next billing cycle processes.) I'd rather take the hit to my income than support that shit.

I looked at subscribestar, but, wasn't sure about the lack of paypal thing. Interested to see how it goes for you! I'm yet to find a solution that I really like.
With how difficult it is to get porn on Patreon how exactly do you expect people to post stuff that would have the FBI crashing down doors?
Not to mention that he covered up any identifying information on the accounts in question, as if he didn’t want us to verify that they actually existed.
Patreon also recently fired their entire security team, and while there is nothing technically wrong with posting what are arguably 'child fashion' shots, it's all presented in a really fucken creepy way that just squicks me the hell out.
I'm not deleting my Patreon outright until more is known, but it is frozen for the time being until we know for sure. Either way, getting my foot in the door ahead of time with Subscribestar can't hurt.

Patreon has always had a weird approach to adult content. Woe betide you if you want to publish content that could be even remotely interpreted as non-consensual, such as hypnosis, or if you post unapproved content on another publishing platform. However, on top of that, there has always been that nagging feeling that, as long as you were either too small to be noticed or too big to be let go, you were getting a pass on certain things.
So that the hypocrisy runs deeper would be hardly surprising to me.
