You may have a point.

I agree .. Alot of the times I feel these people are just covering their own asses when they go to such lengths to speak out about the rampant immorality in the furry community. Can usually sense when someone is being a hippocrit.

I wouldn't say the problem is being "wholesome" as I actually have a good friend who does try to be honestly wholesome. Not like the "ooh, look at me" style you point out, though. Just, they really do try to be nice/kind and unoffensive, but also are more reclusive. But they do need a "release valve" sometimes. Someone to talk out their frustrations with. That's where I come in. I'm not a shrink or anything, but I can at least give my friend an outlet for venting their frustrations. We met 5 years ago in Second Life. Some of the avatars they work up through modding are anything but cute.

I do know the kind of people you're talking about, though. The "Shove "cute"/"wholesome" down the community's throat" level "sugar-coated" personas, that really are the "Look at me! I'm morally superior to everyone!" types...
