Who said they failed? They got their message across pretty well in my opinion. "We'll do what we want, when we want, to who we want, and you can do a fucking thing about it."

No, that wasn't their goal. They wanted to take religious control of England, fighting against the Protestants.. They were trying to blow up Parliament because all the Protestant rulers n such were there.

Some of my british freinds build a huge bonfire ever year and make a scarecrow of Guy Fawkes. They drink, party, shoot guns, and grill steaks and things, and at the end of the night, they toss Fawkes on the bonfire and burn his straw ass alive.

This year, I'm going to participate in it. Sounds like awesome fun.
