As of September 24^th, the current Russian government's "special military operation" in Ukraine has been going on for 7 months (or over 8 and a half years) with no end in sight. Apparently the military operation has not been "special" enough so far because Russian president Putin recently announced 'partial' mass mobilization of the Russian population (via conscription/draft rather than volunteering to fight) in order to have enough troops to continue his military operations in Ukraine.

I would like to offer my deepest condolences to anyone who gets a conscription notice to serve in a war special military operation that they do not personally support or that they feel is unethical. Each person must make their own choices in life and sometimes ALL of the possible choices may seem to be bad or have negative personal consequences. I hope that everyone who finds themselves in such a situation will carefully consider all of their options and choose the one that they feel best represents who they are as a person.
