About a week out from formally dismantling democracy

Things were pretty calm after Dobbs but, the SCOTUS is back in session in a week to continue their work of dismantling American democracy. Well, as one of the Propublica writers pointed out that's a bit misleading as America was never a true democracy, lacking the most basic safeguards to protect against this very thing while being hugely slanted in favor of the whims of racist whites.
But we'll just say 'democracy' as a means of making it simpler.
Looking into it, here's what you can expect:
They're going to end affirmative action, I guess because having merely most of the advantages wasn't enough for white parents and their idiot spawn.
Very likely they'll rule that it's okay to deny services to LGBTQ people unless Roberts can convince the other 5 psychotics on the bench to leave that one alone for now (but he failed to do it with Roe which is why you'd be forgiven for thinking there's some kind of revolution taking place among women. Spoiler: there probably isn't, unfortunately women also come in 'white').
Going to more or less remove whatever remains of environmental protections although given that we're fucked on that front anyway I guess it's kind of irrelevant. I've noticed most of you seem content to ignore that reality but just to be clear win lose or draw, it's the end of the world.
And what is considered to be their primary objective: they're likely to rule that Republican state legislatures can choose their own. electors, even in defiance of election results. That'll formally end democracy in America which people are kind of underselling right now. So if you're wondering why the GOP are behaving this way, almost as if they won't have to face any electoral consequences, it's because they won't. That's why McConnell only cared about the courts, there was no more future in the party in elections nor any need for elections once he had the courts locked up. Ultimately what's going to happen is that the courts will make it impossible for anyone other than Republicans to win, Republicans will gain total power in these last remaining "elections," then either end elections altogether or continue to hold sham elections in order to remain viable on the world stage, similar to Hungary (which is why Tucker Carlson is always instructing Republicans to follow Orban's example, because he wrote a perfect road map on how to dismantle a democracy in record time). Regardless, they'll refuse to be removed from power and when they age out of wanting to be in power, likely not until their 90's, they'll select their own successors.
More importantly: Nobody will do jack shit about it. Citizens will rationalize it, say something about how 'the pendulum always swings back, you'll see!" then ultimately get used to it, and it'll be normal. Americans are too lazy to mount any meaningful resistance to a dictatorship, and no fewer than a hundred million of them actively want one, if it means the genocide of everyone else, because a certain demographic in this country has absolutely no culture to their background other than the destruction of everyone else. It's what defines them. And just look how weak the response to killing Roe was.
Nobody's gonna do shit.
There's more than that of course, those are just what immediately spring to mind. There are tiny chances some of them might produce what appear to be good results as Roberts attempts to make is court appear more 'moderate' for immediate political reasons but, anything the fascists punt on is something they're confident can be accomplished later down the line. And not all that later.
So, I've been aware of all this for quite some time and figured I'd handle it in one of two ways. Currently, I'm attempting plan B, which is to simply leave the country, despite the nagging reality that all major governments across the world are going to be fascist in my lifetime {democracy was never compatible with human nature. It's young and it's already failing). Plan A is still very much on the table, however, and last term the SCOTUS made it easier than ever. What's not on the table is simply living this way. Not acceptable, not happening. I advise anyone with the means to immediately start making a plan to leave. Nobody is coming to save you, not the courts, not the voters, no revolution is on the horizon. For those without the means, well...sorry but empathy is useless, rendered obsolete even against a fraction of the proportion of cruelty, and I've given up on it on a macro level. And I have to admit part of my ultimately plan was to settle in across the border and point and laugh at all the upcoming suffering cause frankly...everyone did it to themselves. Because they just couldn't be assed to stop it when they could.
So, fuck empathy. It's a loser. Every time.
