For those reading my journals, you've probably noticed that I consistently rant about the fickleness of my muse. The most recent uploads are no exception to that refrain. Rather than finishing off something that I already started, she decided to continue playing in the Pony Express universe. The result of the creative endeavors is yet another storyline, entitled 'Trotting in Hoofprints', or Hoofprints for short.
Chapter 1 ('Answers and Questions') was posted a couple weeks ago on both FA and DA. I didn't make a journal post about it then as I had other things going on. Today's release ('Like Mare, Like Filly') is FA only, as the content runs too close to DA's limits. Although the questionable subject matters are only touched on, there were also a couple paragraphs that would have had led to the story being paywalled. While I do have a bit of a following on DA, I can't see there being enough users who like my works enough to fork over for a new installment. While I probably could have edited them out for DA, the combination of the factors lead me to decide that I would only do a FA release.
I have started on the third chapter of the storyline which is using the series title as its working title. As usual, don't expect a quick turnaround.
On a mostly unrelated topic, it's #locktober again for those who care about such things. I know this installment included chastity devices as a subplot, but the release timing in relation to #locktober was coincidental.
