Unauthorized Translations of To Dust,
(If you are the one translating To Dust, please read to the end)
It has come to my attention that there I'd an unauthorized Russian translation of To Dust, thst has been going on without my consent. It deeply saddens me to know this has been going on without the translator asking my permission and on top of this it is alleged that the individual has been paid to translate To Dust, as well as may be continuing to profit off of the translation. I work very hard to produce To Dust, with the help of my Patrons on Patreon who support my work monetarily. Making welcomics is a very long, exhausting, and expensive process. While I'm fortunate to make ends meet and have some money left over for me to indulge in some hobbies, the vast majority of my earnings to into rent and food which is why I rely on both commissions and patreon to keep myself going. Without the support of people on Patreon To Dust, would not be possible or at the very least even slower in production. It hurts me deeply to know that someone has been making money off of my comic by simply translating it. I offer my comic as FREE TO READ for everyone despite all the effort I put in with some pages taking 10+ hours to produce.
In addition to this, despite having finished the script, the story is a work in progress. I have made corrections to some of the pages including spelling mistakes, dialogue fixes, rendrering fixes, as well as removed the cameo of a problematic patron which is why it is imperative that I maintain control over the dissemination of the comic. Patreon is where I keep everything archived for historic purposes. Until the first book is printed things will still be in that state of work in progress.
This is why I ask and have added to the bottom righ of the pages to please not repost the comic anywhere without my permission. I AM OPEN TO PARTNERING WITH TRANSLATORS FOR OFFICIAL TRANSLATIONS AND I AM WILLING TO OFFER REASONABLE COMPENSATION FOR THE EFFORTS OF A RELIABLE TRANSLATOR. If you are the person translating To Dust, right now please reach out to me I would rather come to amicable partnership rather than going the route of DMCA and legal action. You can email me directly at onehornedstag[at]hotmail.com
Please look within yourself to consider my feelings and how this has hurt me. If you truly care about my work and To Dust, you will reconsider your actions. I don't want to have change how I deliver To Dust, to readers.
Thank you for reading.
