Today after more than 16 1/2 years of life, we said goodbye to my dog Vinny. He was a Shih-tzu and boy was he a grump. That dog was born old (an old soul at least). He still ended up truly being my best friend. Someone I could talk to and vent with and would never bat an eye. We took him on good long walks and he was spoiled with them at a young age so much so that he wouldn't go #2 unless he was on a walk. He was a true gentleman and very well trained. Yesterday was his only accident that he ever had inside the house and little did we know it would be his only one.

We got him the week I left for college and so he has been by my side my ENTIRE adult life. Losing him today was almost harder than losing my dad in 2020. My dog never judged me for who I am. He just loved me and my mom so much and boy, did he love food! Over the last month, we watched his health slowly decline until finally this week we got the news that his body was calling it quits. He did all he could to fight it but he already outlived his life expectancy by more than 3 years. He was a little trooper!

I love you so much Vinny boy! Thank you so much for making our lives better over the last 16+ years. I know he had a wonderful and happy life. You will never be forgotten! ❤️
