General
The people arranging the appointment had apparently been misinformed and I was not going to be put under during the procedure, but they gave me plenty of numbing and also I guess made my head skip over the entire thing. The surgery went well over all, and they said I did great. Time to endure pain for the next three-five days when the general numbing agent wears off tonight xvx

Heck, get better soon ;v;
I remember when I had mine out and saw in the waiver that there was a non-zero chance they could kill me (in that "it's happened before" sense rather than the "actual risk thereof" sense).
I went full-under with general anesthesia, now some 20 years later I am aware of just how good of an idea that had been at the time (I'd been quite insistent about it); as I've discovered that I don't take well to surgery. My blood pressure craters, I pass out, and start twitching. The surgeons hate that.
And now, a reminder that Science has no fucking idea how general anesthesia works.
