Quintree and Notifications
Thought I'd give a sneak peek into how my brain operates, regarding online notifications. Notes, messages, DMs, group chats, and alerts for new stuff.
I treat unread notifications like a to-do list. If there's an indicator, I ought to check on it eventually. I'll mute that area if I don't want to routinely check all of its new content. This has unfortunately led me to having a "queue" of FA submissions that I want to look at, and click favorite on my faves! But this site's interface to sift through them all makes it a challenge for me to browse en masse and efficiently mark my favorites and clear away the ones I've already viewed. If you don't see me favorite your uploads despite me watching you, it's sitting in my 'queue' and I apologize for it. It'd take me a few hours of dedicated FA browsing to get through my (currently) 7k watched submissions, but I want to someday!
Messages from strangers are strangely exciting for me. Notes on FA, message requests on twitter, that kind of thing. It sincerely makes my day when someone new wants to reach out and tell me they love my characters and the art I've commissioned! I just get anxious when someone asks very quickly "I want to be friends with you! :D" - I build friendships slowly over time. Please understand I already have groups of people I spend time with and energy on, just to keep up with them. I am more than happy to chat! Just don't be disappointed if I don't use the word 'friend' with you even when you make me smile, laugh or blush.
Last thing I want to mention, my energy and mood come and go; swing down and up at different times. I'll hold your message in the "unread queue" by not clicking our chat till I'm ready to read and likely reply quickly. If I've seen your message and don't reply, it's because I didn't have anything I want to say. I've gotten better at being direct when something makes me uncomfortable or simply dislike a phrasing, so know that you're welcome to leave comments and send messages! Bring a little more than "hi", and we can have a conversation (I prefer Telegram most).
Hope that makes sense, and let me know if you have tips for managing messages (or FA submission lists >_>) that work for you!

FA+

But we're surprisingly alike! Ive had people link me their art because I havent commented on it in a day or so, when i was gunna get to it anyway, haha. It's heartening to see im not the only one who makes a 'queue' out of their submission inbox haha.
It gets real weird for me at times since I kinda use FA/Twitter as a business, so i respond to business inquiries firstly, and then register non-business secondly(its how I realized I didnt give ya a BWUMPh back, even though I for sure appreciated it, my brain didnt have the space to reply due to mood at the moment- don't let that stop you from including bwumphs in future though!!).
You're wonderful Quintree and this I think is clear to understand. :)
