Eye Surgery Next Month

Howdy peeps,
It has been so long I last saw a doctor about my double vision, I thought they had forgotten about it. But on Friday I was sent to a specialist in another city and according to the records, my vision is deteriorating way too rapidly to ignore. The condition is keratoconus if anyone wants to look it up, I know a few of you here on FA were already familiar with it~
It was weird when they did a test lens cause I'm so used to my vision being so fucked that seeing words even relatively clearly was like experiencing VR for the first time x,°D I wear glasses during my commission work to avoid headaches, but I haven't seen anything clearly since probably 2016.
They cannot reverse the damage that has been done, but they can stop it from getting worse, and those tests proved that with glasses I may be able to see clearly again~
So yeah, I guess all my health things are gonna come up at once. lol Anyway, they are expecting the recovery time to be less than a week, so I'll let everyone know when I know the date so you know when I'll disappear again for a bit. Then another month later I have my reattachment surgery lol I guess
Anyway, just wanted to keep everyone up to date, I know I've been very choppy this year :°U Hope you are all doing well!

That said my vision has remained mostly stable (other than normal age) since I got the surgery done in 2019, though one side effect is that I get more glow around bright lights at night. Or in movie theatres. But I understand that's more the Intacs than the crosslinking.
It's interesting you should mention the glow around the lights, because the doctor mentioned there is a slim chance of getting hazy vision, I wonder if it can perhaps appear in different levels of visibility?
