Goodbye DeviantART.
After DA’s recent decision to screw over all of its users with its new AI art policy, I think it’s time to say goodbye to my account there.
15 years of developing my self as both an artist and a human being. It’s been a good run there, but I think it’s time to move on.

What's that?
Really!?
That's new!
THAT'S GARBAGE!
THAT POLICY WOULD FORCE ONE TO PAY!?
It's a good thing smart people are leaving DA.
The point is that this AI is allowed to include artwork references from ANY ART UPLOADED TO dA that the artist has not manually flagged to not be included and even then I think their internal databank is stilled allowed to in most cases.
That means that artist have their art used to generate AI images, no matter how they are uploaded. Even if you delete your entire gallery, if anybody else (commissioners or thieves) upload a piece of art you made, the AI can and will use it to generate images.
WHY WOULD DA CREATE THIS UNWANTED POLICY!?
The artists who make the works make not one cent from their efforts being used against their will.
Talk about greedy to a core.
I doubt it'll come
What would genuinely hurt them though would be for more than enough people stripping all their work from the gallery and just leaving, never to return
You strike a perfect point there.
(Lest it is right under my nose)
