Updates on Me

Have you ever wondered how "fuck" is defined in the phrase "busy as fuck"? Well, I now have a definition for that vulgar word. "Fuck", in this phrase, can be defined as that feeling you get when you think to yourself that you'd have a heart attack from your current workload increasing even a smidgeon; and if this happened you would pull at your hair and yell "fuck" at the top of your lungs. That is what the word "fuck" means in the phrase "busy as fuck".
So yeah... busy as fuck.
However! Not all of it is shit and grime! In my sparse spare time I have managed to get my eager paws upon a game called Torchlight! I hear that it's in between the games Diablo and Fate, neither of which I have played. Regardless of whether this is true, this game is fun and addicting! It's so paaainful to tear myself away from it to do homework just because it's so much fun. Sure it's repetitive and won't give you too much of a challenge even on Very Hard, but that's part of the fun! It's a great game for just relaxing and filling in some time, and for that totally worth the $20 you can get it for on Steam and Direct2Drive. Check it out!
And finally, a little opinion on music... sure, I could start going on about how Velvet Acid Christ's new album is simply beautiful, being mix of goth and Industrial, but I'm currently on a kick for one of the first bands I came across when getting into Industrial music.
Negative Format is one the most unfortunately underrated bands on the Metropolis Records roster. These guys seriously just get pushed aside in favor of the more cookie cutter bands despite their creativity and don't get the attention they deserve.
Their music blends plenty of electronic genres together, including Industrial, EBM, Trance, Techno, Ambient, and in a couple of their songs, even Trip-Hop. Their last couple of albums, "Moving Past the Boundaries" and "Gradients", are simply amazing and fully palatable chimeras of style. Unfortunately it's because of their hybridized style that makes them hard to market, which is a shame because it is quite unique and can be clearly identified as Negative Format's trademark style.
I've talked with NF's founding member, Alex Matheu, and he's never been hesitant about responding to my emails and answering questions or simply conversing about electronic music in general. They rarely ever tour, which can be part of why they are relatively unknown among their labelmates, but it also lends a nice mystery to the band which makes it only more appealing. As such, I'm asking for their albums for christmas, but even if I don't get them, I will once I can spare the cash! They deserve the support. Soooo, here's a few examples of my favorite tracks by them, including a song that is very very beautiful, Foundations:
