Hello all, I'm back home after visiting my mother for a while. Her health is in decline, so I've been trying to spend as much time with her. Back at my second job tomorrow, but I shall try and get as much done today as I can. Will be on Telegram a little later to respond to people.

I heard it was a decent alternative to Twitter (I was going to be more active on it, until this whole business with Twitter's crash and burn happened)
But I also heard it's pretty much full of kid/cub stuff. Which makes me want to vomit. Violently.
Does anyone here know if that's the case? I did make an account, but then I saw the rumours about the content, and haven't been back on to actually check myself.
If that is the case, does anyone know of a different alternative?
Think of Mastodon as being like Discord. It's a social media platform on which people run their own social media servers, like how Discord is a voice/text software on which people run their own voice/text servers.
Some Discord servers are great, others are awful. The same is true of Mastodon servers. If you don't like a particular Discord server, you can find an alternative one to hang out in, and that's also true of Mastodon servers. By nature, Mastodon servers will probably never be as centralised as Twitter, FA, Pixiv, or Itaku.
