oh...what is it?

All I really experienced was that some people had heavy bugs and returned their games. There are still things to enjoy. The negativity really only is the usual social media battle between the camps that either love it or absolutely are offended by GameFreak's quality control. I haven't played all that much myself but that's because of a lack of spare time. If anything, do gaming in your own pace and don't let other people force a bat conscience onto you.
Could Pokémon be more refined, modern and have more content? Yes. Does that mean that the concepts and general gameplay are not possible to be enjoyable? No. So just go and see if it's fun to you, Molo.

From what i've seen that pretty much it. Even people i've seen who are usually very critical of pokemon say that Violet and Scarlet is a more enjoyable experience. Alot of people are just lamenting the lack of quality control for the franchise. Its unfortunate because the main games are under call of duty syndrome. Not as bad as call of duty, but the crunch shows

The glitches people have found are pretty hilarious though

I don't have the game myself, but I've heard it was mostly graphical glitches, while the gameplay is pretty solid.

Some people are taking those glitches as small gag and enjoy the rest of the game, it's just those who aren't are like a frickin' cult. Just f69k 'em.
