Some more input
I got some input about YCH from here and others and it seems the universal choice is, do whatever I want lol.
Well, I will probably do what I did before and do about 5 bidded YCH and go from there occasionally doing template ones while also taking a few comms.
We will see how that works out. I appreciate all the input.
Now, the other question is, how do people feel about adoptables and should I do a few?
I know there is a lot of issues with that especially with ones that are just existing franchise characters with minor touches but I am just wondering
how people in my community would feel about it and what they would want from me if I did it.
Or they don't want it, I just want some input to set my 2023 goals.

*Ah, I see. So you're not getting rid of any OCs that are already established within your artwork, and instead auctioning off any miscellaneous designs or OCs with little to no development outside of their design? I ask because I think such OCs (I.E. Siyn, Datastream, Elega, etc.) are much better kept in your hands instead of someone who has the possibility of doing something with them that you wouldn't approve of.
So I know everyone doesn't care for it and that there are many that dislike it. It is just if it overwhelmingly felt like it was disliked in my community, I would not do it.
That said if you do adopts it's best to do OCs (or inspired from) instead of existing franchises (I find doing adopts for franchised characters or fan characters with little change somewhat iffy on the copyright aspect)
The main issue with adoptables from what I have seen is basically people selling off like Pokemon with barely any changes for a large amount of money and what not.
Some people just like an idea and wish it was theirs and I think they would message the artist asking if they could buy the OC which is what started the trend.
