Subs take it up the butt
As you know, some shit has been happening to gay bars and drag queens. The people attacking them and the people supporting them are all the same; "THEY'RE GROOMING THE KIDS" or whatever bullshit they spew. In one subreddit I visit, people were talking about a drag story time for kids in my area and some people were there to protest it. One commenter was like "ugh, why do they gotta show kids this?"
To answer the above question, I say "If they don't, who will?" That's always been the thing when it comes to anything sexual or "not normal" with these people. Just never talk about it, bury it deep, and pretend it's not there or tell your kids how bad it is. Teenagers don't learn (or learn enough) about sexual education in schools, so they get their information from their friends and the internet, which is usually wrong since they don't know where to look. Kids with bigoted or ignorant parents grow up thinking anyone who is not straight or is dressed in drag are all pedophiles.
No one wants to learn a damn thing and people wonder why kids are rebelling against their parents.

This is what is infuriating. By making the "other group" as evil as possible, demonizing them, dehumanizing them, they can justify whatever atrocities they commit as FOR THE CHIIILDREN! Clutch their pearls while raising pitchforks and torches. What's worse is when they prevent the spread of differing ideas, making echo chambers and constantly reaffirming these horrid beliefs. Repeat this shit enough times, and people who don't know any better will believe it. God help the children raised on these dumb ideas and still in the phase of idolizing their parents before their ability to think critically develops.
I don't know if there's an answer to this problem. Heck, I don't think there's a solid answer for it at all. But the best I can think of is to educate whoever isn't too far gone, anyone curious enough to question these ideas, show them that these "pedophile groomers" are not who they've been told they are. Times are a changing, and these folks are stuck in the past. If they have to be dragged to the present kicking and screaming, so be it. Maybe their own kids can teach them a lesson in maturity along the way.
If they were actually concerned with protecting children they would go after the biggest perpetrator of ACTUAL child grooming and csa, the church.
