Hey all you Superstars! Coming to ya live from Loxxie's Rockbox!
Today I was kicked from it for reasons that are untrue, they have convinced themselves that I went to an artist and handed them the ref sheet of someone from within and told the artist - copy this persons character. First of all I don't know of any artist of any reputation that would even consider doing that, I know the ones I go to wouldn't and would likely bar me from commissioning them again for it. Secondly I'm not fucking ignorant and stupid...that's plagiarism and copyright. This was based of an model I put together inside second life, for those who look at my profile you can physically SEE the photos I used for reference - it's Tatsumi. WHY would I in any given heck use someone else's ref when I have my own physical 3D model RIGHT there?
Regardless, they took this other persons side, despite the evidence presented. This person even tried talking to me and the conversation was rather civil but I told them I had to go to work and the discussion would have to be paused, sadly it seems they weren't prepared to wait, as when I got home I learned I was banned...permanently, no discussion, no talk, no hearing my side, just theirs and sealing my fate. It's like being handed a conviction in letter form then getting slammed with the hammer, no trial, no jury, no civil discussion. I feel this was extreme and rather childish to do but, what can I do?; I am one person vs. many, they will say what they will and I will say my part, in the end who doesn't believe me doesn't believe me and I will nod to them, then move on.
I had a lot of good times in there but in the end I was thrown out and thrown away despite my innocence, just goes to show that even when your doing the right thing and being good, you still get punished for it, so this is just a warning to those who get the chance to go into it - if you get eyed like this you WILL be singled out, no one will be there to help or defend you or even listen to you. Whether it be over your opinion on something, having a brand new - from scratch character that's even REMOTELY similar to another or even just making an admin angry, stay safe out there guys, hope you have a good holiday, I certainly am not...those who know me know why.

The fact that the accuser disregarded your need of getting to work at your IRL job is also suspect, for all I know they saw your art, got jealous and sought to cancel you for clout by claiming you were plagiarizing other's ref art, the fact the admins went along with it also seems quite dickish for not waiting for you to speak your piece
Despite their harsh and dickish actions, I've decided to try and remain civil with this journal, simply stating my part and then likely move on in a few days, this REALLY hurt being banned by them like this. However with such actions taken perhaps I am better off without them or that server.
Getting accused and kicked out for little provided evidence is infuriating...

You made a SL avatar who shared Belle's hair color, fur color, eye color, build, even the same preference in clothing color. Then you used that as a reference to make this new character, and you managed to even have your ears be the same length as hers [hanging to mid-back] along with the rest of that.
Belle is one of the most active and prominent members of the server, with the most art, and you made something so close that several members of the server thought it was her before seeing whose account it was.
How... precisely did you think that something wouldn't happen? Like, this is not a 'remote similarity', your character can actively be mistaken as her. 90% or better.

I do believe personally Belle should've given you a little more time to reply, but since you threw everything on her being 'jealous of your clout', I'm really not sure you were going to consider her viewpoint either way.
So... I really don't know what you thought would occur. You made the spitting image of someone's longtime several year flagship character for several years, posted an SL reference that shares all the same spitting image aspects to go with it as your 'proof', and then... you figured the fact that you did it in SL first was going to make it ok?
I didn't use DB's refs, I didn't even think about her when I made the avatar, your acting like DB is the ONLY lop eared albino rabbit out there. I did not throw anything anywhere, also why are you bringing up names?; I was trying to be civil and leave names of persons out of it. It seems like banning me isn't enough, this seems like gaslighting to be honest, you all made a choice, you didn't believe me and thats that - nothing that can be done or said will change that so why come out like this?
I appreciate your feelings that she should have given me more time, but again I didn't throw anything anywhere, nowhere in there did I mention clout. I would have considered her viewpoint...had she given the option, but I told her I needed to go to work and while at work I was banned so...end of story, she made a call and that's that, she chose not to talk, I'm sorry you felt the need to push this further.
