I think it all depends on the theme of YCH, posture and so on. For example, I took my first YCH relatively recently, but before that I never wanted to take them and ordered only ordinary works with my own ideas

I was thinking about some seasonal themed YCHs, actually

I like YCHs sometimes I want art but don't have a pose/idea in mind and see a YCH and am like that looks good

I like YCH personally I like the idea of the artist already doing the hard part of coming up with the idea and all I provide is my characters and payment

I'm personally not a fan of YCH, when they're including mutliple characters. I'm not a big fan of seing my chars interacting with people i do not know.

I prefer the commissions but ultimately it's your choice.

YCH are as good as commissions as sometimes you don't know what you want, but love the artists style. However, fixed price YCH are best imo

i like YCH's and commissions but at times when it comes to commissions my mind goes blank to what i would want so YCH's are very handy for that

I can never catch you open for commissions anyways so you would think a YCH would give me a better chance
but I overall don't like YCH's, that's just my personal take on the whole thing
they aren't bad here and there but when they are the only constant thing then it sort of wears me down on following an artist
however if its every so often so the artist can draw what THEY want to draw, i understand that method

YCHs are good for seasonal themes, like holidays and themes
like Valentines YCH etc. because only a few people would commission seasonal themed arts

Can't hurt for those who like em. I prefer the commissions tho.

When finances become a bit more available, I'm interested in YCH's. I believe they can be quite fun.
