I bet my sister probably might. I told her what they told me, and she asked if they ever mentioned anything good about him. I said they didn't; to her, that meant that they didn't approve of our possible relationship at all, and they classified him as dangerous.

Hence the school Internet and library bans.

No idea. I made my mom promise to let me tell my dad, when I was ready; the whole time I was trying to figure out how to tell him, she'd already let it out! My mom already said she didn't care; she'd love me forever. But they never mentioned it when they talked to me about him, just talked about how dangerous he could be; but not too long ago, he assured me he was being honest with me.

Just give your parents some time. Try to talk to them about your friend, let them know much he actually means to you. It's gunna be hard, but if you're upfront with them and let them know how much this is actually upsetting you, you might be surprised.

I find that most people in the fandom are actually pretty honest about who they say they are. I don't know Jamie all that well, but the couple of times I've talked to him, it seems like he's got a good head on his shoulders. How close does he live? Is it possible to have your parents meet him? If not - just remember: nothing is forever, and eventually something will change - and if he's worth that much to you, you'll find a way to get a hold of him. Have you considered writing letters? It's not the most ideal situation, but it may be a way to pass the time...

*hugs back* Thanks so much. :') I'll miss you too. I've tried to be up front with them, but they denied that he was being honest to me; but he assured me that he was. By the way, I'm also one of those most people; I hate misleading people about who I am. We can't write letters, though, because if my parents saw it, they'd immediately press charges. They're seriously that overprotective.
