I'm a leftist dude, of course, and my opinion won't cheer you up. And maybe things are getting better for you now. But situations like yours are very common. Burnout at a job you don't like is a common problem. My situation, of course, is even worse. I'm now in my third year in a bad situation, and there have been several occasions when I've thought about suicide. But so far I have kept myself from these gloomy thoughts, not considering that after the shit that happened to me - my family and friends turned away from me. Despite the loneliness and lack of support, I somehow manage to keep a sense of humility for now.
So dear man, I don't know how you're doing right now, but I wish you luck anyway. Alas, real life is not a cartoon, real life is much scarier. And if someone supports you financially or spiritually in your difficult time of life, that's a good thing. Good luck to you and don't lose heart.
