Commissions

Welp, I'm a little strapped for cash.
So... Who, mayhaps, may be interested in commissioning me?
I warn you that my prices are a bit on the luxury level, but you'd have the advantage of receiving a bonafide real life drawing to hang on your wall. OH BOY!
I can also guarantee that my drawings are a lot, lot better looking in real life, and I think that might justify the pricing a bit once you see my work in person.
An example of pricing would be something like this:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2960746 = $75 (it would be on better paper, which would mean smoother, cleaner textures)
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1500878/ = $85 (would also on better paper)
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1132971/ = $125
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1132966/ = $150
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1958393/ = $175
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1561489/ = $225

I'll have to see how much money'll come around for december, which will trickle in at mid-december.
if you're available then I would like to come back with something which will hopefully serve as a nice challenge to your skills... ^^
just curious, but would paying in installments be a possible option for you? I'm thinking about 40-50$ installments per month. of course you won't have to start until a preagreed amount of the sum.
wait, did that sentence make sense? something looks... wrong. gah, foreign languages. *gg*
But, considering the disinterest I'm pretty sure I'm gonna just take this down.
As for pricing, it wasn't too clear so I'm gonna explain a bit more on my journal, but basically I'm charging like this:
All sketchwork is free.
$75 = 1 refined fullbody character.
$100 = 1 refined fullbody character + simple/moderately complex background.
$125 = 1 refined fullbody character + moderately/very complex background. (in the $125 example I gave for this the blacking out of the entire image is actually very time consuming and requires a few layers of led)
$150 = 2 refined fullbody characters.
$175 = 2 refined fullbody characters + simple/moderately complex background
$200 = Extremely refined fullbody character.
I have bought higher-priced comissions in the past, usually by paying in installments. if that option is not good for you, I can understand. I'm only asking beforehand.
looking at your reference works I'd say your pricing is reasonable. so, no worries.
there are now more than 500 watchers having me on their list. I am now trying to sell comissions for a couple months now, and there simply was not a single request coming from this site here. I gathered them all from somewhere else... so I guess the lack of desinterest is simply bad luck with the audience.
I know how it feels like. I have tried it a couple times, to no avail. it... hurts a little bit.
so... I don't want to appear like wasting your time. so let me make it clear:
I AM interested in comissioning you.
I AM also interested in trying to work out the payment. full price, no bargain nonsense, no percentage. if I make you wait on the full sum you deserve it all.
I just have to wait until the next 15th, when I can say how much I could afford in a row. also, I am hoping for a little xmas money coming mid-december with the paycheck, although I suspect they'll try and stiff me on it... gotta check my working contract.
anyway, the 175Green option sounds fine. I have a pair of characters which have seen some loving already, and I'm curious what you'd come up with. you will have, of course, complete artistic freedom with everything.
so, what do you say? if you call it completely off we will still be friends, promised!
Look over that and see what you think! I AM willing to work with people, and I'll be able to start commissions reasonably soon. I'm the process of moving, but it looks like I should be good to go pretty soon after this weekend.
And to answer your question. I can absolutely work in incriments. I usually accept half payment up front instead of full payment. But, if that is even too much I'm willing to work something out. And, I've known you long enough to know that you wouldn't screw me, so I'm happy to work with you. :3
And, it sounds awesome. I'm very happy to make art for you. Really, thank you.
I'll be a bit busy from now, but I'll try and talk to you again as soon as I can. Send me a note with your ideas.
hopefully my bank account will be filled again on friday, then I can determine how much I can afford. I will then PM you so we can discuss in private. ^^
Anyways, take your time, I'll be around. :3
