Ryn had that "THAT" look again. The one that Rei does not easily forget and stings for days. It was a combination of a frown and the pucker one makes when eating something sour. It's the look Ryn makes when Rei doesn't keep her word. And Rei certainly did not keep her word. "but what did Rei tho?" Ryn texted a mutual friend. The rumors were flying but she still couldn't figure out what it was all about. She acted like she didn't really care but she wasn't fooling anyone. So Ryn was acting mad and Rei didn't truly know why... could this have all been some sort of hoax, trick, or prank... or did Rei really practically disown Ryn to her cheerleader friends?

Regardless of the reasons it wasn't like her and Rei didn't like it one bit. She did everything she could to make sure she was accepted by her friends and she was close enough to them to know if there was something between them. They were all practically sisters and Ryn WAS her literal sister. This would end NOW! Rei's anger flared up and she marched back into the school to find the jerk that started the rumors.

She had an idea but truly hoped it wasn't who she thought it was. She vainly looked around the usual watering holes and rumor mills. But after the first few inquiries, she already knew for certain who the culprit was and the rest was just her going through the motions to gather her courage. She knew she had some time so she ate a quick lunch or at least half of it and headed off. She felt like she was about to go into battle. All this was trivial, yes, but it didn't make this anymore, less nerve-racking.

After a few minutes of dragging her feet, she finally made it to "The Blind Spot" where her target made her territory. And there she was. The Albino Wolf leaned on the border between the school and the bizarrely close liquor store on the side not legally on school property, not even trying to hide the cigarette. She could clearly see Rei absently clutching the apple in her hands from her earlier lunch and certainly noticed the intense look she was projecting. She had a presence about her that only a sister's love could create. And it was returned with a look that was more of a smirk than a glare that both read: "That better be for me...." and "What the heck do you want....?"

"Why would you lie about me? ... especially about me disowning my sister?" Rei screamed. The wolf smirked, "well Rei... you're relationship was too perfect you see...". Rei was outraged at what she was currently hearing "TOO PERFECT???" she screeched with her voice cracking. Rei's eyes burned off a raging, out of control, wildfire. The wolf simply took a puff of smoke... "yep... you see sooner or later the barbies in blue over there, cheerleader squad if you are slow in the brain Rei, are gonna pull you away from your sister... so I was helping ease the pain" the wolf smirked a cruel and deadly smirk. "Well you didn't help anything, Cleo, and knowing you... you didn't ever want to "help" so what's in it for you?". Cleo smirked and leaned closer with her green eyes swirling like poison "watching you suffer is all I require". Cleo took another puff of smoke "now be gone maggot".

Before Rei could protest Cleo stood up and shoved Rei away "go on shu shu". Rei got up and walked back to the school where Ryn was sitting in front of the school practically curled up and crying. Rei walked up to Ryn and sat down gently next to her. "Ryn I don't know what you've heard but I haven't disowned you," Rei said looking at Ryn. Ryn poked her head up "really?" Ryn sniffled. "Yes," Rei replied with a warm smile "you're my sister... and I love you Ryn". Ryn leaned into Rei and closed her eyes. "I'll love you forever" Rei whispered under her breath "no matter what"
