So, Stuff and Things...

The last few years have been incredibly rough for me, and while it wasn't fun to lose my mom, my cats Noosh and Parsa, and now also to have lost the treasured necklace my wife gave me 15 years ago, I've done a lot of self-reflection. Oh yeah, and I had a stroke in September 2022. And vestibular neuritis, which affects my vision and balance and all that fun stuff. I've been feeling very mortal, to say the least. It's sparked a lot of changes to my life, one of which is the realization that I'd rather be around than not. And that if I want to accomplish all my goals, I need to get the F! on it! Which is not to say that I've licked my CPTSD, anxiety, and depression. Not at all, but at least I'm fighting back as best I can. Writing is a joy, when I allow it to be, and I've been missing creating my artwork so much. It's going to be a process to get back into it, but I will, you better believe it.
So, with that in mind I've been working like a beast on the stories I write with my wife, and plan to publish this year under Lupercalia Books (our imprint). While those are being prepared, I will be starting up a new subscription where you can read along with my WIP chapters prior to publication, get bonus scenes and 'what really happened' scenes, artwork, merch, and more. Because life's too short to wait, yeah? Details to come, since the platform is slowly being rolled out right now specifically to cater to writers who like it super spicy!
In the next few weeks I'll upload Chapter 1 of Struck by You, the first book in the Lupercalia: TCR series right here on FA. The book is currently in final revisions, as is book 2, and book 3 is half done the first draft. So you know the trilogy is on the way because it's nearly done. I'm going to be working on the covers as well, so I better get my art up to snuff. Yikes!
Anyhow, thanks for your patience with my descent and travels through hell. But all I want to do before I really do die is to create. And to be able to be with my wife again, either here in Canada, or in Iowa if need be. But I'd rather be here than there, to be honest. Universal healthcare matters, folks.
