Ryn (By @RedHusky)

Rei wasn't around and it was almost time! Her opponents had been appearing right on schedule for weeks now and she knew that. As time passed Ryn eyed the clock and there was but a few minutes to go and Rei was nowhere to be found. And as the time came her opponent finally appeared! It was much different than normal, or at least what THEY would consider normal, in Gracie’s black cat appearance. Ryn was amazed, Gracie was exactly what she thought a goddess of love would look like. Gracie’s form was strong and yet elegant. Gracie’s proportions were something she could have sworn she saw in a dream. And Gracie had a presence like an aura that said "Love me!". Gracie suddenly struck a pose and made a graceful gesture and a spotlight appeared between them. Ryn was instantly snapped out of her gaze and instinctively took a position.
This had become Rei's main domain since this little "tradition" had begun. But she wasn't too out of practice since she would occasionally help Rei with her routines. Besides, they always danced for fun. She committed to doing her best. And took a pose the best she could. But unlike previous encounters this would be her first "battle".
From nowhere an otherworldly chime could be heard and music from nowhere began. It sounded like music that one played at a funeral that wished for you to celebrate a person's life rather than mourn. Upbeat but sombre. And Gracie moved. It had an eerie grace about it that had you keep your eyes on it at all times. Gracie belly danced to the center and then did a series of twists and turns. Ryn started at almost the same time but not as gracefully, her moves were similar to Rei's and more "pop" inspired than it's "traditional" opponent. She awkwardly strutted to the center and did a series of stomps and wiggles in an almost mirror opposite of her opponent. The skill difference was obvious.
What followed was a series of one sided dance offs with Ryn too distracted to perform even if she could fill the skill gap. Gracie’s first set made her think of being held by someone she loved, the next gave her the feeling of being inside and warm with a good book and some hot coca on a cold rainy day, and Gracie finished her with the feeling of needing to be wanted. The tears Gracie left in Ryn's eyes did not help matters, but she managed with her first set to make herself feel self-conscious, the next to feel like a failure, and finally to learn of a desperate longing she never knew she had.
And then, the climax! Gracie’s grand finale gave Ryn that feeling of being stared at right into her soul and gently being told that everything is going to be ok. It ended with a kneeling pose in the style one would give it's sovereign. And then, for what it was worth, it was Ryn's turn. She was trembling and openly weeping at this point. Regardless what would happen beyond this point she would always respect Rei's inner strength. How could anyone face such beings and stay so intact!? She began and started to fill with a feeling of despair one feels right before a self destructive urge and then tripped.
She fell right into Gracie’s direction, and surprising Gracie, caught Ryn in her arms. And at that moment the two opposites ignited. For all the longing and self-loathing Ryn had felt it was nothing more than pure love and comfort. And for the first time in Gracie’s existence had touched someone who truly needed it. At Ryn's touch it embraced her tightly and their beings intercoursed. At that moment Ryn felt so very loved. Gracie caressed her and held her cheek to cheek and she felt safe and warm. Gracie kissed her on the lips and she felt wanted. Then Gracie held her a bit back and smiled and looked her straight in the eyes and she felt like everything was going to be ok. And at that it faded away, spend but not truly gone.
Everything was back to normal but Ryn was stuck on her knees with her arms held out as if she was still embracing Gracie. She never felt so happy in her life. Gracie had filled her in a way nothing physically ever could. The only sour note was her eventual realization that it was gone and how she wanted Gracie to come back. She let out a cathartic scream and took a few minutes to compose herself. She needed to called Rei and tell her how much she loved her.
