Losing such a wonderful friend, if not a family member. It is truly a devastating experience. I also once had a pet and I fully understand what you are going through now. But know that time heals wounds despite how horrible you must feel right now, and even though I am a poor comforter.
Live knowing that you have provided your dog with everything he needed, I am sure that Remo was happy with you.
I do not know if there is such a thing as Dog heaven after death. But if there really is such a thing. I am sure at this moment your furry friend is bragging to other dogs how wonderful human he had on earth.

They all cross something called the Rainbow Bridge and return to younger days, awaiting their special human to cross into the heavens to see them again.

I'm so sorry, Ulu... -hug- I'm sure you'll get a visit from Remo in a dream. When that happens, Remo is assuring that both of you will be ok. When my Chihuahua left me in September of 2022, he visited me after I told him goodnight one final time and it brought me to tears the next morning... It also means you'd be considered by Remo to be his Special Human.

So sorry for you loss. I had to put down my cat, Iggi after an bad illness and it's still a bit hard to get over. Take all the time you need to mourn. Big panda hugs!
