The Fear of Furlough...

Or why I may embrace the path of the Gig Economy
Heya, it's ya boi Choujin here.
Doing well and balancing allergies, but also a bit worried about my workplace. We have low turnouts, and my gut instinct tells me there's a furlough and that I may be taking a hit. At least I lasted a year as a housekeeper, but I feel my skills may have been plateauing and that it's not doing well in the eyes of management. I'm.. distraught. Though in case of this, I'm preparing for something in case I resign, am forced to resign, or being fired. In case of a worst-case scenario where I may be back on job hunting (or embracing the Gig economy..)
1. I'll be returning to commissioning stories (though I may need tips from other writers on keeping the drive and following through). It's a good thing that most of my work is paid when the work is done (prevents messes), but otherwise, I may need to find a writing mentor on this
2. Lucky for me, I've made Twitch Affiliate and working on making something appealing to get folks to sub to me. I also have a Ko-fi account here, so that's a good tip jar. I'm not hurting for money for bills and such, but it wouldn't hurt to garner some free spending for luxuries or fun stuff from time to time. It would be nice, but I'm not going to beg everyone for money
3. I've talked to my grandmother, and she's still making lunches at the veteran's post, where I could do some work and get tips to make some profit. Not pretty, but it keeps me busy while providing some revenue to help me a bit. Not pretty but it'll work out
4. I'll return to my neglected site: The Bird's Nest, sooner or later. (link here) and might need to find some group that does indie publishing of stories. Either Here, DA, or hell, even on CounterSocial. I need something to get my mojo back and stability.
That's the issues I want and may need. A cover to help me continue so I can maintain myself where I can either find a job, be self-employed via gigs, or improve my stuff and become someone good enough. I seem to lack the mojo or something but that's my problem.
So sorry if this little rant thing comes up

Here's hoping it all turns out okay.

I hope everything works out for you soon. Getting that mojo back with the creative juices flowing can be difficult but not impossible. It's helpful to have a good supports system with family and friends. Brainstorming with other writers is a good way to find that spark. You got this Chojin! If you need any advice I can try to offer some. Sending best wishes and positive vibes.

I hope you don't wind up furloughed but if that does happen, I can gladly offer some funds if you need them
