We've been spotted! By the BBC no less. I'd welcome other people's thoughts but overall it feels to me like they've been pretty fair and truthful about us, and not just fallen into the trap of sensationalism that so many do. Obviously I'm not thrilled that it's a court case that brought it to light, but furs are just as much people as anybody else with all the usual failings.
Thanks to
Zelandeth for pointing me toward this.

Hah! That's awesome.
If we had to hit the mainstream media - which given the age we live in now, and the aforementioned court case - was inevitable I think - there isn't any better way for it to happen than through A: An article like that, and B: Through the BBC. One, because it's a decent, balanced piece, and B: because people actually do take the BBC seriously.
Definitely looks to me like they've done their homework, which we'd expect of the BBC, and written it in such a way that's understandable to your average reader and also doesn't alienate those actively involved in the community themselves by being condescending or anything, which is a bit of a tricky balance to strike I think.
Hats off to them for getting it right I say.
