I've been doing a few things for a few of my friends. My most recent was a google docs, six page story, between three character. My naga Roran, my dragoness Belinda, and another dragon, who'll rename nameless until I'm able to confirm if they'd like to be credited, or not. This story was done as a sort of half-dare when out group got together for a VR hangout.
Short story long, the group was messing with a surprisingly accurate espresso machine in one world, one of our mutual friends asked for the perfect cup of mixed espresso from the dragon in question saying it wouldn't be good, just as a harmless tease. I told them if they gave a coffee and it wasn't terrible I'd write them a story. Well the espresso was drank, and I had to write a story for them. After they read the pages I'd made, they asked if I take commissions for my work or if I'd be okay with writing a continuation at some point, saying they greatly enjoyed what I'd written. I'd asked a few more of my friends, and ran the idea past a few people who want me to at least dip my toes in and try the writing commissions as a sort of side thing while i look for better employment.
TLDR: I wrote a story for a friend, who said they liked it, and asked my friends, and they said go for it. It's something I'd be willing to try, maybe post something I write myself, before opening commissions and seeing how reactions go, If anybody would like for me to go ahead and write commissions , or after having permission, maybe posting one of the two stories I've written and having any reviews come from there.

Yeah, that's a lot to read, I'm just a mix of curious,excited, and interested in opening commissions, maybe start making a name for myself, and hopefully at one point, get to the point where I can do this part time.
