Starship Types (Human Classification) Updated 2023
2 years ago
Small:
Patrol Ships- 150ft to 200ft
Smallest Class of Ship, General fit for Escort or Patrol but can sometimes be used for VIP Transport or Covert Ops Ship
Support Ships- 300ft to 350ft
Primary a Non-Combat Ship, General seeing fit for bring supplies and resources from place to place, even in combat there out of a fight but will give aid to much larger and more suit warships
Corvettes- 400ft to 500ft
Small, Fast, and Maneuverable these ship can be see taking up roles like Recon, Escort or Anti-Fighter Duties they can also be seen in Hit n Run attacks or Solo runs thanks to there size and speed
Stealth Ships- 550ft to 600ft
Like Submarines, Stealth ships are not brawlers or made for full on combat but great for long range missions and Intel collecting as well preform Disruption, Sabotage, Spy, Rescue and Capture missions
Medium:
Frigates- 650ft to 700ft
Links in Chain, Frigates are generally are the most Multirole style of Ships and are primary of great cost to firepower, made to bulk up a fleet and the escorts for larger Capital Ships or more important craft
Assault/Escort- 750ft to 800ft
Also know as Gunships sometimes too, Being one of the few ships armed with several guns all around to make massive fields of fire for there sizes and aiding in Assault or Invasion Ops of Planets or Starbases
Destroyer- 850ft to 1000ft
Made to deal damage and one of the few ships that can fight ships much bigger then itself and as well having weapon covers almost all over there hull though they are glass cannons, being between a Cruiser and Frigate
Cruisers- 1200ft to 1500ft
Smallest form of a Main Line Capital Ship and general made adaptable and Multirole ships more so then most ships and can be seen leading small Fleets and help in the chain of command
Large:
Carriers- 2000ft to 2500ft
There primary role is to deploy massive squads fighter support to the fleet and is the general the Main Capital Ship of a fleet over Cruisers, Battleships and Battlecruisers and if it has any other roles it would be a general Support Command Vessel, it shouldn't enter combat as it not fit for it and should be seen in the back or in the middle of a fleet to get them support as well give the Carrier its cover
Battlecruisers- 3000ft to 3500ft
Leading more to the style of Battleship but not losing what makes it a Cruiser, Battlecruiser can deal far more damage and take more damage then most Cruisers but doesn't lose specialize or versatility however doesn't full take the roles of Battleships and Cruisers completely as Battleships firepower and armor is better and Cruisers fill in more roles for a fleet but are a good way to help get the best of both without taking away the role of the other too
*Battlecruisers are some or my favorite ships even though I rarely see them in games, movies and shows*
Battleships- 4000ft to 4500ft
Slow, Massive, Filled with lot of firepower and toughness armor & shields, General good in offensive and defense and there all about combat and fighting nothing more, rarely has much fighters or speed as there powerful warships made to hold the line or push the line in there fleet being both the spear and shield
BattleCarriers- 5000ft to 6000ft
Similar to a Carrier but with added Armor and Firepower, Battle Carrier are more Frontline Support then General Support like there Carrier counter parts, Even though there firepower may not reach levels like Battleships there armor and weapons can still be the last thing you face

Dreadnoughts- 7000ft+
Meaning "Fear Nothing" are in other words Super or Mega Size Battleships in sci fi but, I have my own way of classification a Dreadnought.
Dreadnoughts are the biggest and highest rank Command Ship in a fleet both being a powerful attack and defend vessel but giving support to its fleet, Dreadnoughts are still fight and go solo in missions and they are only true "Do Everything" ship but its greater strength is when its will a fleet making its more reliable for not only for the Dreadnought its self but the Fleet as well
*If you want a good example on what a good Dreadnought is like look at Battlestar Galactica, Jupiter-Class and Pegasus-Class*
