so twitter's garbage, as we all know, and the new Removal of 2FA is also garbage.
anyway; i tried doing that, as well as change my password, aaaaaaaaand twitter took it as suspicious activity, logged me out, and locked me out of the account when trying to log back in. text messages dont work, and twitter's not sending me any sort of email. idk what new shit is going around that their automated system just doesnt work anymore, but yeah. i sent a ticket to see what's going on.
anyway; if twitter doesnt fix it i'll probably just make a new account from scratch and try to follow the people i used to follow. sigh. what a frustrating website twitter is sometimes.
update: finally got it working again. all my text messages and emails arrived all at once. lol.

Using an app or an hardware key is still possible!
A wall that is reducing my interest in Twitter and may lead to me boycotting it.

I suppose there are salient concerns surrounding the hacking of biometric databases and the lifting of fingerprints from surfaces though.
Am I safe because I didn't turn on 2FA.
Glad you gout yours working. I'm not sure if I should uncheck the SMS one first or check the App method first, then uncheck sms.
