I think I've caught a burnout. I think I'll take a short break after I've completed all the current commissions. I have a lot going on IRL and there are factors that affect my emotional state and productivity a lot. And it's not affecting me in the best way.
First of all, it's a problem with my family and my parents in particular.
Secondly, my husband has embarked on a bit of a gamble, in the form of a paid stall for a bird that has to be treated and lives in our house. We have to stick to a certain schedule and build our lives around it for six months, though we were originally talking about three months. And I was hoping that this little hell would end for me. Because because we are forced to follow this schedule, we do it to our own detriment. we are almost locked in our own house. We can only leave when that bird has to go to bed. And after that, we can't make any noise or turn on the lights in the room. And I mostly work in the evening and at night.
Besides, this bird has a very naughty landlady. She's always picking on me and demanding that I prolong the house until the summer. She also monitors everything through the camera she put in the bird's cage. My husband doesn't see this as a problem, but it's a big trigger for me. It makes me very stressed and unable to concentrate on work. I don't sleep well and often don't feel well psychologically. Also, my husband and I have started to argue a lot about it.
I want this to be over soon, but we can't just give this bird back to the owner because she has gone on a business trip and is stuck there.
Just so you understand, I myself have 5 parrots that also need attention and sometimes treatment, they live according to a certain schedule as well. However, I don't build my life solely around them. Sometimes I feel like I'm enslaved to this new bird x)
If my parrots walk outside their cage, I know nothing will happen to them and they won't break anything. They fly around playing and singing. But this new bird is a completely different case. She's a little berserker, ready to break everything, or climb into the aquarium or try to eat what she can't. She's also a very painful fighter. That's why I can't concentrate on my work during the day. I have to make sure everything is in order. It's very tiring.
Sometimes I am ready to have a very big fight with the mistress of this bird because sometimes she makes us do things that are not related to the bird. We have to put a certain program on the radio, we have to turn off our aquarium at the same time when the bird needs to sleep (although that's not enough time for the aquarium. There are many live plants which need 12 hours of light a day, not 8), we have to put some more lights in the room. We must not leave the house at a certain time, and when we want to go out we must tell the landlady. We must not invite friends to visit, sit in the evening and have a feast, because this disturbs the bird. And the landlady watches everything through the camera....
Sometimes I am disgusted to go into the room where the bird now lives at all. However, there is a significant problem - the desk and computer are in that room.
This all wears me out very badly. I value my reputation and always take my job responsibly, but I don't mentally take this whole situation out and not only my personal life but also my job is starting to suffer from it. I can miss deadlines a bit on some works, which I always regret very much. In that case, I'm willing to draw customers a little extra gift in the form of a portrait icons.

Thanks
But I do appreciate it that it is not the bird's fault, but the owner's. I hope she is paying you a lot of money to control your lives and put cameras in your home. Dictating which radio programme you play? Either the bird truly has an extraordinary devotion to Radio Yerevan, or that woman is unhealthy inside her head.
