Oh, pardon my Yiddish, a shibboleth is traditionally a password or pass-phrase that is used to distinguish people from an 'in group' from outsiders, typically by using quirks of pronunciation. For example, we Chicagoans can spot people from out of state by the way they would pronounce the names: Illinois, Des Moines, Des Plaines.

In this case, you would send the same message from both accounts, and since both are send by private message, the odds of an 'attacker' cracking the PM of the trusted account and copying the message to the account being vetted in the brief time between the two timestamps would be very slim.
