This is story that goes back almost 10 years when me and Ayane started working together on fanart and fanfics. Just a few things you should know before you start reading...helps to avoid obvious questions. Okay? Let's begin:
Races:
We all mostly know what elves are correct? Well there are several varieties involved including some interesting hybrids like the 'Dralva' which I will go into more detail about later.
Sun Elves and Moon/High Elves: There is a huge difference between the two besides their names! Sun elves are usually a tan to deep yellowish skin tint while the Moon/High elves have a paler silver or milky complextion. Personality wise from my research the Sun elves are a proud and vain folk often avoided. Moon is more disciplined and quiet, tends to live out of harm's way.
Drow/Dark Elves: For those who have heard of Drizzt or the Forgotten Realms series, won't have to read this part. For those that don't know, Drow are a matriarch society, often cruel and always conspiring thier way up the power ladder, and a very much hated enemy of most other races humanoid and non. Not all Drow are like this as explained with Drizzt earlier, they appear with ebon colored skin, white hair and most common accepted eyes are usually red, gold, white and I believe black as well. They are so strict that after having a 3rd son they must kill any future sons being born and if the child reguardless of gender is born with any abnormalities. ie Drizzt being born with violet eyes, could get executed on site. I have a House/family highly involved in the storyline that is at constant conflict with itself. They eventually get exiled and some even hunted down due to the cruel traditions of the Underdark. They are also very sensitive to the light, not like vampires their eyesight is so particular that even the moonlight could possibly blind them.
Dralva: This should be easy to explain given the imagination of the artists on FA when it comes to crossbreeding. According to my friend and co-author Ayane a Dralva is a pure gene strand of Elf mixed with dragon. The formula common goes as seen in this example of her character:
Ayane Ryuuza is a Dralva. She is 3/4 High Elf and 1/4 BlueWater Dragon. Primarily her entire bloodline is based on this dragon. Though there can be misshaps like with her half brother Keiya who was a product of a Drow raid in there home. Ayane's mother was raped by a Drow and therefore when the bloodlines mixed/tainted depending on your point of view he ended up 1/3 Drow, 1/3 High Elf and 1/3 Red/Fire Dragon befitting his temperment.
The Dralva thrive in Clans/Tribes as follows in this storyline:
The Glimmer Dralva:
Vanessa's bloodline that of Sun Elf and Gold/Dawn Dragons
Mostly a royal family of paladins.
The Ryuuza Dralva:
Ayane, Naomi and Keiya being the main members of this bloodline. Keiya being the exception as noted earlier.
There are also certain beast tribes around the world as well. So far we have several Neko, Inu and Ikami tribes and a city of Anthro Basilisks.
All other common/well know races will be making appearances as well. Like Humes, Dwarves, Halflings, Orcs, ect, ect. There will be however other crossbreeds which will be explained as they come up. And before I forget, there is some fursonas involved too like Kitsunes and such.
The world this is taking place is called Makrios. In ancient times it was once a pancea that became a stage for the two dieties seeking to claim it. The God of the Skies Simurgh a wise, egotistical bird with the the head of a handsome wolf and the Goddess of the Sea Sallune a beautiful and mischievious serpent dragoness. Both awakening from their slumber they find the unclaimed land and beging their war. The source of magic on that land depended on who was in control of it. After centuries of going back and forth we return to present, the 12th Age/Century is coming to a close. I series of events awaken the war yet again and now a selected party of individuals will journey against all odds and diversity in order to put an end to the chaos that may ultimately put a ceasing to their existance. Simurgh sends a strange vision to a chosen Drow maiden about to become high priestess and sends her on a mission to awaken his 12 disciples he left as statues throughout the world. Traveling above and below ground, even to the depths of the sea itself to retrieve the blessings and tools from each one of them. Little does she know as others get attracted to the same fate including a swordmage high elven woman. Both born as natural enemies they are forced to work together against this fate.
