Seems that Furry is now a... doll.

Oh... I knew that Furry culture was a household name when retail just started selling budget mascot heads and such, a couple or so years ago. But alas, the marketing is just going deeper and deeper.
For what did I see when shopping for electronics today? Randomly on the shelves of A1Up's and various toys, there was just a singular grouping of dolls sitting there. Now why would that grab my eye? Brand named Barbie. They were multiple ladies taking off their fursuit heads and otherwise dressed from toe to shoulder in a full-on suit.
Just Google 'barbie furry costume' and see for yourself. (I even tried barbie mascot and that was a lot of cosplay and such. The engine recommended the other search term, instead.) They have a whole line of species, so it seems. One was even a doe... with antlers. Caribou, maybe? I didn't feel like staring too long at the packaging. And here I thought that the seasonal Halloween store partitioning an entire part of a wall was recognition enough.
Now, what I did drop a couple dollars on was some of those machines that would normally be seen solely in Japan. Little figurines out of a plastic egg vender. Just little animals that were standing up. In front of urinals. I guess that I just had to know. And one was a little red panda. (Which I did get one of those.) Classify this under Japan being Japan. As they were (minimally) anatomically correct. Just enough to make a child ask what that little extra bit was to mommy & daddy. One does have to add an ounce of imagination to pronounce those as an M rated objects of art.

And, agreed. Barbie? When I was over there a week ago, I noticed the cardboard it came in. But not the name. Just thought they were some no name toys. But, when I went back... Barbie. I recall learning that they also at one time pushed for the female astronaut line.
