It's hard feeling the need to create all the time! The short answer is as long as you're doing something you enjoy, that's really what matters because no one wants to see someone burn out on something they don't enjoy.

If you need inspiration, I usually find it helpful to have a pinterest/tumblr or some other photo aggregate site to collect pretties on and then wander through when I'm feeling down. It's a helpful reminder of what you enjoy when things feel overwhelming!

I'll say I followed you because I love your use of textures and colors. It's something I have trouble with in my own work, so seeing someone else wield those boldly is always really cool. Your vintage work is super cute too, I would definitely be down to see more faux advertisements like this.

you're right about drawing things one enjoys, but sometimes i feel like that nobody likes what i like. i know it's a stupid thought - there's 8 billion people on earth, of course someone has to share my interests! but anxiety is a very strong and irrational feeling and i guess i just need some reassurance from time to time.

i agree - i have several boards on pinterest for every occasion :D i'm glad you like my vintage stuff since it's one of my favourite things to draw, and i will definitely draw more of it in the future!

I started watching you for the exquisite softness of shading, and rich emotional context of every scene, with the characters showing complex combinations of moods and intentions.

It is also impossible to avoid admiring how cozy, serene and peaceful, if sometimes solemn, your pictures are in their overall atmosphere.
