I've had people send me PMs in character talking about how obsessed with one of my random OCs they are and how they'd like them to do dirty things that I had never had the character do in any piece I've ever drawn. Also some braindead idiot who thinks they're way smarter than they are trying to force an rp and grift art from me like they think I've got the mental capacity of a two year old.

there are some on here who do and i feel bad the people annoyed you because of that.

So I'm not an artist just a commissioner and I do have people consistently ask, every now and then from both RP accounts, other commissioner's and even other artists with some even trying to encourage me when I don't want to. I've never had anyone be demanding or ever upset luckily just the overly needy, try and convince you type. I know anyone else can see this that I currently don't have a 'NO RP' note on my FA page which I need to do probably but never felt the need to because of people not being mean or harassing me over it. Generally I try to be respectful and just nicely let them down and wish them luck(note I'm not saying you/anyone is being mean or anything just might be a reason or that I'm truly lucky). Side note for resolving would be maybe putting your, "NO RP" at the top of your page with colors or something that attract the eye? Personal experience for me with trying to see if coms are open or not on some artist's page is that I just can be completely blind and miss the red colored "closed" in the smallest font on their page out of just excitement. I think that's why people with RP accounts ask you too because personally all your work is incredible and enticing. Not defending just a reason for why they might or downright ignore the "NO RP" sign to try and get lucky.

Personally worst for me was blocking a couple who kept asking and one who was using my vixen/impersonating me for rp's.
(After this I'm going to put a no rp on my page to try and avoid this. Sorry to hear about your frustration!)

Back when I got more traffic on my pages years ago; I would get people in my inboxes replying to me in character and trying to coax me into it.

Yeah. I'm not a big fan of people who use stolen art for RP. If you can't get your own art, at least be good enough with words to describe how your character looks.

Hey, there's a simple rule: your character has big boobs, they jump in and start RP'ing. You could tattoo "NO RP" on the 99% of your character's body, they'd just see the boobs.
It's unavoidable, it's a rule of nature.
Just shrug, and block ;)

I know I try my best not to RP.
I know I slip up sometimes, but that's not an excuse.
And the reasons why you don't RP don't matter - that's still your boundary, and they (and I) still have to respect that.
