It's official, I have diabetes :(

General
I'd hate to break the news but I feared my nightmare has came true. I was informed that I have Type 2 Diabetes.
It's not the end of the world but I have to change my diet and exercise more.
I had to endure all those headaches and even ear aches as well, for months. It was no fun, really. I even went to the doctors and I am also suggested that I head over to diabetes ed center to learn more.
Getting by is going to be a bit difficult, especially with rising food prices while my monthly pay only increased a bit and it is supposed to increase again in July to adjust for inflation. At the same time, I will receive extra allowance for special diet.
My uncle has diabetes, my grandmother has diabetes. They both managed quite well and I can do the same!
Stay well! With love, Krilinus Sixus.

I found out thanks to my boyfriend that I was diabetic when my blood sugar level was 614. By all accounts I should have been dead.
2 years, Proper dieting and proper moderation later, I'm at a steady 130-140, and have become pre-diabetic.
You got this.
That had to be rough
I suggest getting a journal note book to keep a log for your day to day
Have colored tabs in the book with a table of contents.
Have a page with all your daily meds listed and when you need to take them. And the dose. Also have that same info in your wallet for if your in a emergency and pass out that it's their for emts to find also write down medical conditions on the card and in the book.
Also write down your glucose checks# and the time with the time you took your insulin and meds
Also write down your meal info.with your blood sugar numbers this helped me a lot I am already on my 3rd journal.
It will help you keep track of highs and lows.
Be aware dexcom or a libre continuous monitor may be beneficial but can be expensive and hard to get to depending on your health insurance
Also being diabetic watch your feet closely if you get a cut watch it like a hawk feet infection are common in diabetes and slow healing.as well
